It all started when Junaid Khan with the help of financing from family, Lockhat Charities Trust and a weekend flea market

stall, graduated from University of Durban Westville in 1998 with a Degree in Optometry.

Registered as a full practicing optometrist, with the then South African Medical Council (now HPCSA)

Having done voluntary work on Phelophepa healthcare train and Red cross flying doctor service to remote parts of SA,

Junaid was keen to experience some international travel and get some stamps on his first SA passport.

Junaid left for United Kingdom as a backpacker to experience life abroad.

With very limited funds and having no contacts or relatives in London he stayed in a youth hostel for SA backpackers whilst doing security work at night.

Thereafter Junaid did optical dispensing and in 2001 passed the General Optical Council UK qualifying examination to register as a practicing optometrist for United Kingdom.

Junaid was nominated for election to General Optical Council UK Board in 2006.

Since 2001 Junaid Khan has performed an excess of 65 000 sight tests in United Kingdom from very young children to elderly, and performed thousands of diabetic screenings in Central Manchester.

A far cry from humble beginnings...

South African soil is where his heart was, and returned to SA with his wife Salma, and two young children Sharif and

Sofia ,to live in our wonderful country and to share his knowledge and experience.

With Salma's close family from Uitenhage and Junaid being an avid nature fan, Eastern Cape was the Natural choice to settle.

Patients are encouraged to contact him, pop in for a chat or just advice.

Component ImageComponents are larger extensions that produce the major content for your site. Each component has one or more "views" that control how content is displayed. In the Joomla administrator there are additional extensions such as Menus, Redirection, and the extension managers.

Media ImageModules are small blocks of content that can be displayed in positions on a web page. The menus on this site are displayed in modules. The core of Joomla! includes 24 separate modules ranging from login to search to random images. Each module has a name that starts mod_ but when it displays it has a title. In the descriptions in this section, the titles are the same as the names.

Media ImageTemplates give your site its look and feel. They determine layout, colours, typefaces, graphics and other aspects of design that make your site unique. Your installation of Joomla comes prepackaged with three front end templates and two backend templates. Help

Plugin ImagePlugins are small task oriented extensions that enhance the Joomla! framework. Some are associated with particular extensions and others, such as editors, are used across all of Joomla. Most beginning users do not need to change any of the plugins that install with Joomla. Help
